Cross Country Running

Our school took part in a wonderful local schools cross country  competition today at Ballinacurra Gaeils GAA grounds. The competition was hosted by staff from Our Lady of Lourdes NS and they did an amazing job. Thanks so much to them for hosting a very successful event 
Children from 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th took part and competed over 800m and 1km. This is a challenging distance for young children but ours compteted wonderfully. 
A huge cheer was heard from Our Lady Queen of Peace as the winners were announced in the final standings. Well done to everyone who took part and gave their all for the school jersey. Thanks to all the teachers who had the children out training over the last few weeks. And special thanks to Mr Jones, Mr Hogan, Mr Maher and Mr Dillon for organising the children and bringing them to the event.
